Last orders at the bar will be called at 11.45pm and the bar will close at 12 midnight. Music in the Oak Barn will turn off at 12 midnight, but you and your guests are invited to move into the Small Barn where you and guests can relax and reminisce on what a wonderful day you’ve all had. The venue closes at 12.30am, and we ask that all guests who aren’t staying the night at Sandhole have pre-booked taxis to collect them by this time.

Ceremony - Our maximum daytime capacity is 140.
Dining - We can host up to 140 for the Wedding Breakfast in the Oak Barn.
Dancing - Our maximum evening capacity is 180.
Accommodation – Sandhole has 16 ensuite plus the Granary Cottage, our fabulous honeymoon suite, for the newly married couple.
You are invited to use the Dressing Room and the Shepherds Hut on the morning of your wedding for you and your wedding party to get ready in from 9am.
We love (well-behaved) dogs and appreciate that they are a huge part of your family. They are welcome to join you for the ceremony and photographs, but they must be taken off-site after this and before the wedding breakfast. If you wish to bring your dog(s) along, please ask to see our dog policy.

Sandhole is accessible for wheelchair users and has an accessible toilet. We can accommodate a category 1 disabled guest in one of our bedrooms.
A fantastic team of in-house chefs provide all of our catering. It is not possible to use your own caterers.
We strongly recommend that you take out wedding insurance. Weddings are a big investment, and fingers crossed that you’ll never need to call on your insurance, but having it in place will cover you for a range of eventualities.

Our chefs love working with you to create your own menu if you would like something a little different from our menu.
It is not possible to bring any food and drink into the venue other than a wedding cake, confectionery (which must be in the original sealed containers in which they were purchased), and edible favours with allergens clearly labelled. Please speak with our team if you need any further clarification.

Yes, we have a delicious range of vegan and vegetarian options.
You can work with our bar team to create bespoke cocktails for your event.
Yes! We have a range of delicious grazing boards available to enjoy while you get ready in The Oakley. We can also provide bottles of Champagne or prosecco for your wedding morning celebrations. Please speak to the Events Team for more information.

Sandhole Oak Barn is 1 1/2 miles north of Congleton on the A34 Manchester Road and 8 miles from M6 junctions 17 and 18.
From Manchester airport
From the airport head into Wilmslow then turn right towards Congleton on the A34. It is about 10 miles from Wilmslow to Sandhole Farm, which is on the right side of the road about 1 1/2 miles before you get to Congleton.
There is a large “Sandhole Oak Barn” sign on the tree at the entrance of the 250-metre long farm drive.
The total distance from the airport is about 15 miles.
From M6 motorway (south)
Leave the M6 at junction 17 and head for Congleton (approx. 5 miles). As you come into Congleton at the first roundabout take the exit towards Manchester, then turn left at the next roundabout, over the next roundabout, and straight through the traffic lights all the time continuing to head towards Manchester. This is the A34 and you must stay on this road until you come to the entrance to Sandhole Farm, which is about 2 1/2 miles from these traffic lights and is on the left side if the road. There is a large “Sandhole Oak Barn” sign on the tree at the entrance to the 250-metre long farm drive. The total distance from junction 17 is about 8 miles.
From M6 motorway (north)
Leave the M6 at junction 18. Head for Holmes Chapel. When coming into Holmes Chapel (approx. 1 mile) turn right where indicated towards Congleton. Follow this round to the traffic lights. Go straight over still heading towards Congleton. As you come into Congleton at the first roundabout take the exit towards Manchester (this is approx. 6 miles from junction 18 on the M6). Then turn left at the next roundabout, over the next roundabout, and straight through the traffic lights all the time continuing to head towards Manchester. This is the A34 and you must stay on this road until you come to the entrance to Sandhole Oak Barn which is about 2 1/2 miles from these traffic lights and is on the left side of the road. There is a large “Sandhole Oak Barn” sign on the tree at the entrance to the 250-metre long farm drive. The total distance from junction 18 is about 9 miles.
We have 75 car parking spaces at Sandhole. Cars can be left overnight but must be collected by 10am the next morning. We do not allow caravans or motorhomes to stay in our car park overnight.

Sandhole has 16 bedrooms plus we have our fabulous honeymoon suite, Granary Cottage.
If you wish to book the accommodation, please raise this with the Events Team during your welcome/planning meetings.
This may be possible if we do not have an event booking the day before. We can confirm this closer to the wedding or event date. We will release the night before the wedding date four months prior. Please speak with our Events Team if this is something that you may be interested in.
