Sandy, our charming food truck, brings live cooking and relaxed outdoor dining to your evening celebrations. From wood-fired pizzas to sizzling barbecue, everything is cooked in front of your guests, giving everyone plenty to talk about and plenty to tuck into.

Make the most of Sandhole’s beautiful outdoor spaces, from saying ‘I do’ beneath the romantic Clock Tower to raising a glass on the lakeside verandah. Stretching the length of The Oak Barn, the verandah is the perfect spot for welcome drinks, relaxed coffees, evening drinks and dining alfresco, with stylish outdoor seating, decking and a retractable awning for sunny days. Overlooking the lake and rolling Cheshire countryside, it’s a magical place to unwind, enjoy delicious food in the open air and watch the sun set, with the grand oak tree beautifully illuminated as evening falls.
Breakfast at Sandhole
Start the morning together in Sandhole’s welcoming breakfast room, a relaxed space to gather with your guests and enjoy a delicious breakfast after the celebrations. With its warm, homely atmosphere and views across the surrounding countryside, it’s the perfect way to round off your stay.
The Small Barn
Separate from The Oak Barn, The Small Barn is a spacious yet intimate lounge, offering a relaxed space for you and your guests throughout your stay at Sandhole. With its own kitchen and French doors opening onto a pretty, enclosed garden, it’s ideal for welcoming early guests or providing a quiet space to escape the celebrations.
It can also be used as a crèche for younger guests, a peaceful retreat from the dance floor, or simply somewhere to unwind at the end of the day.
The Clock Tower
Set beside the lake with views across the Cheshire countryside, the oak Clock Tower is a romantic setting for an outdoor civil ceremony, licensed for weddings and right beside the Oak Barn. After the ceremony, enjoy drinks and canapés on the verandah before heading into the barn for your wedding breakfast. It also provides a beautiful backdrop for photographs if you choose an indoor ceremony, while heaters under the eaves make it a cosy spot to enjoy the lakeside setting into the evening.

The Farmhouse and Stables offer 16 en-suite bedrooms in beautifully converted historic buildings, providing a relaxed place for you and your guests to stay, while the private Granary Cottage offers a peaceful retreat for newlyweds. The Oak Barn brings together two beautifully connected spaces: the light-filled Ceremony Barn, with full-height lake views and a grand piano, and the Dining Barn, with soaring ceilings, exposed oak beams and French doors onto the verandah. Neutral décor, rustic wrought-iron lighting and Cheshire countryside views create a relaxed, sophisticated setting that works beautifully for both intimate weddings and larger celebrations, with space to enjoy drinks on the verandah before heading to the bar and dance floor.

Beautiful location, very well kept, 30′ from MAN airport.
Wedding ceremony and everthing around it was perfectly organised.
Dinner was the best we had ever experienced at a party / wedding. Beef sirloin was 1A, portion quite big, side dishes excellent as well. All were served at the same time at our round table.

Stunning venue location!
Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and easily accessible for wheelchair users.
The staff were all polite and helpful.
The service we received from the table servers at the wedding breakfast was impeccable.
Highly recommended if you are looking for a wedding venue with class and charm.

I recently photographed Bethany and Adam’s spring wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn and it was a fantastic day from start to finish. As their wedding photographer, and having photographed there regularly for the past 10 years, it is always a pleasure to return and it remains a brilliant venue to work at. The lakeside setting and beautiful barn create the perfect backdrop for relaxed and natural photographs throughout the day. Everything flowed effortlessly, allowing the couple and their guests to really enjoy each moment. The staff were incredibly welcoming and professional, making sure the whole day ran smoothly and felt well organised from beginning to end.

Sandhole Oak Barn was the perfect venue for us! First and foremost, the venue is close to home which is helpful for our friends to travel to. Secondly, I have friends and family coming from all over the world – Australia, Philippines, Canada and the US. Sandhole Oak Barn being able to accomodate our guests on the night of the wedding was amazing! And to them, it was quintessentially British and awesome in every way! The barn is gorgeous with the lake as a backdrop just makes it even more picturesque! Not only that, during the whole planning stage, the staff were very accommodating in terms of multiple viewings, the ease of communication and very friendly! Highly recommend the venue! We had the MOST perfect day!

Wow! What can we say… this venue is stunning and as soon as we came to the open event we knew straight away this was the place we wanted to get married. The view of the lake and being able to get married under the clock tower outside with the lake behind us was the dream. The staff were outstanding and made sure we were welcomed and showed around. They answered any questions we had and were even helpful and responded quickly with any queries we had once we had booked. All our guests were blown away. Even the accommodation didn’t disappoint and our guests were well looked after. Thank you to Sandhole and the team for making our wedding day everything and more.
