We know how important it is to begin your special day in a peaceful, beautiful setting. At Sandhole, two thoughtfully designed preparation spaces give you and your partner the freedom to get ready your way. The Dressing Room is a calm, light-filled retreat, perfect for preparing, unwinding and enjoying those special pre-ceremony moments with your wedding party.
Just steps from the Oak Barn, an additional preparation space is available for you or your partner to use. It features comfortable seating, a shower room and two dedicated hair and make-up stations.

Say ‘I do’ in The Ceremony Barn
The Ceremony Barn will greet you and your guests on arrival. With oak flooring and full height windows overlooking the lake, this is an idyllic space to say ‘I do’.
A grand piano sits at one end, perfectly positioned for music during the wedding ceremony or to be heard while guests enjoy drinks on the adjoining verandah. If you would like a religious ceremony, there are many beautiful churches just a short drive away.

Set on the shores of the lake, with panoramic views across the rolling Cheshire countryside, this beautiful outdoor setting provides a picturesque backdrop for your wedding ceremony and a relaxed space for guests to gather. Following your ceremony, enjoy drinks and canapés on the verandah, with your choice of music setting the mood, before inviting your guests to dine in the Oak Barn.

The high ceilings and oak beams lead through to The Dining Barn, an impressive and versatile space that can be curtained off from the ceremony area during your nuptials. French doors open onto the verandah, bringing the beautiful countryside setting into view. This flexible layout makes the barn equally suited to grand celebrations or more intimate gatherings.
Here you will experience our å la carte menu prepared with expert skill and care from our team of chefs. Pair dishes with sustainably sourced wines and treat your guests to expertly crafted cocktails and reception drinks.

The Granary Cottage, our luxurious honeymoon suite, offering a private and romantic self-contained sanctuary. The perfect cosy hideaway overlooks the lake with breathtaking views. Our Farmhouse provides guest accommodation and breakfast. Perfect for reminiscing over the day before.

Wedding ceremony and everthing around it was perfectly organised.
Dinner was the best we had ever experienced at a party / wedding. Beef sirloin was 1A, portion quite big, side dishes excellent as well. All were served at the same time at our round table.

Stunning venue location!
Beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and easily accessible for wheelchair users.
The staff were all polite and helpful.
The service we received from the table servers at the wedding breakfast was impeccable.
Highly recommended if you are looking for a wedding venue with class and charm.

I recently photographed Bethany and Adam’s spring wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn and it was a fantastic day from start to finish. As their wedding photographer, and having photographed there regularly for the past 10 years, it is always a pleasure to return and it remains a brilliant venue to work at. The lakeside setting and beautiful barn create the perfect backdrop for relaxed and natural photographs throughout the day. Everything flowed effortlessly, allowing the couple and their guests to really enjoy each moment. The staff were incredibly welcoming and professional, making sure the whole day ran smoothly and felt well organised from beginning to end.

Sandhole Oak Barn was the perfect venue for us! First and foremost, the venue is close to home which is helpful for our friends to travel to. Secondly, I have friends and family coming from all over the world – Australia, Philippines, Canada and the US. Sandhole Oak Barn being able to accomodate our guests on the night of the wedding was amazing! And to them, it was quintessentially British and awesome in every way! The barn is gorgeous with the lake as a backdrop just makes it even more picturesque! Not only that, during the whole planning stage, the staff were very accommodating in terms of multiple viewings, the ease of communication and very friendly! Highly recommend the venue! We had the MOST perfect day!

Wow! What can we say… this venue is stunning and as soon as we came to the open event we knew straight away this was the place we wanted to get married. The view of the lake and being able to get married under the clock tower outside with the lake behind us was the dream. The staff were outstanding and made sure we were welcomed and showed around. They answered any questions we had and were even helpful and responded quickly with any queries we had once we had booked. All our guests were blown away. Even the accommodation didn’t disappoint and our guests were well looked after. Thank you to Sandhole and the team for making our wedding day everything and more.
